Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 cups cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup carrots, shredded
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 package egg roll wrappers
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat.
  2. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in garlic, ginger, cabbage, carrots, bell pepper, and green onions.
  4. Cook for another 5 minutes until veggies are tender.
  5. Add soy sauce and mix well. Remove from heat and let cool.
  6. Place about 2 tablespoons of the turkey mixture in the center of each egg roll wrapper.
  7. Fold the sides over the filling, then roll tightly from the bottom up to seal.
  8. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Fry egg rolls until golden brown on all sides.
  9. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a healthier option, bake the egg rolls instead of frying.
  • Can substitute ground turkey with ground chicken or tofu for a vegetarian option.
  • Serve with sweet and sour sauce or soy sauce for dipping.
