Vanilla Pecan Pralines


Description

Deliciously sweet and crunchy vanilla pecan pralines that are perfect for gifts or as a sweet treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, cream, and butter over medium heat.
  3. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture comes to a boil.
  4. Once boiling, stop stirring and let it cook for about 5-7 minutes until it reaches a soft ball stage (238°F).
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract, chopped pecans, and salt.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Allow the pralines to cool completely before serving.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
  • For a richer flavor, toast the pecans before adding them to the mixture.
