Description

Deliciously rich and chewy bars layered with chocolate, caramel, and pecans, perfect for any dessert lover.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well to combine.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, oats, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until fully incorporated.
  6. Spread half of the dough into the prepared baking pan, pressing it down evenly.
  7. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the dough layer, then sprinkle the chocolate chips and chopped pecans on top.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of the remaining dough over the caramel layer.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool before cutting into bars and serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, toast the pecans before adding them to the bars.
  • These bars can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
  • Try adding a pinch of sea salt on top before baking for a sweet-salty combination.
