Description

A delicious Turkey Melt featuring layers of melted cheddar cheese, fresh spinach, and crispy bacon, all sandwiched between toasted bread.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 4 ounces of sliced turkey
  • 2 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup of fresh spinach
  • 2 slices of cooked bacon
  • 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon of butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Layer the turkey, cheddar cheese, spinach, and bacon on the unbuttered side of one slice of bread.
  4. Top with the second slice of bread, mayonnaise side up.
  5. Melt the butter in the skillet, then place the sandwich in the skillet.
  6. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown, then carefully flip and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes.
  7. Once both sides are golden and the cheese is melted, remove from skillet and let cool slightly before slicing.

Notes

  • For a healthier version, use whole grain bread.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like tomatoes or onions.
