- 1 1/2 cups crushed Oreo cookies
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1 cup red velvet cake mix
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a bowl, mix the crushed Oreo cookies with melted butter and press into the bottom of a springform pan.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
- Add vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Fold in the sour cream, cocoa powder, and red velvet cake mix until just combined.
- Pour the cheesecake batter over the Oreo crust.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes or until the center is set but slightly jiggly.
- Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven with the door ajar for 1 hour.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
- For a more intense red color, you can add a few drops of red food coloring.
- Serve with whipped cream and extra crushed Oreos for garnish.
- Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature for best results.
