Delicious Strawberry Swirl Cake with a sweet Strawberry Glaze

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a cake pan.
- In a bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla.
- Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to wet mixture.
- Gently fold in diced strawberries.
- Pour batter into the pan. Swirl with extra strawberries.
- Bake for 30 mins until a toothpick comes out clean.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with mashed strawberries.
- Drizzle over cooled cake. Slice and enjoy!
Notes
- Add lemon zest for extra zing
- Use frozen strawberries if fresh aren’t available
- Top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream
