Deliciously soft and fluffy cinnamon rolls filled with fresh strawberries and topped with a creamy glaze.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup strawberries, chopped
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese
- 1 tablespoon milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla to the yeast mixture and stir.
- Gradually add flour and salt, knead until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle and spread with melted butter.
- Sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar over the butter, then add chopped strawberries.
- Roll up the dough tightly and slice into rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, cream cheese, and milk until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls.
Notes
- For a vegan version, use almond milk and a flax egg.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- These rolls can be frozen before baking; just thaw and bake when ready.
