Description

Indulge in these soft and fluffy cinnamon rolls filled with a creamy strawberry cheesecake mixture, topped with a luscious cream cheese frosting.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 1/2 to 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup strawberries, diced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until bubbly.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together melted butter, salt, egg, and yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms. Knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, diced strawberries, lemon juice, and vanilla extract to make the filling.
  6. Once the dough has risen, roll it out into a rectangle and spread the cheesecake filling evenly over it.
  7. Sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar, then roll the dough tightly into a log.
  8. Cut the log into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.
  9. Cover the rolls and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  11. While baking, prepare the cream cheese frosting by mixing softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  12. Once the rolls are out of the oven, spread the frosting on top while warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For an extra strawberry flavor, add a few more diced strawberries to the filling.
  • Make sure the milk is warm, not hot, to avoid killing the yeast.
  • These rolls are best served fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
