These Spicy Shrimp Sushi Stacks are a delicious and visually appealing twist on traditional sushi. Layers of seasoned rice, spicy shrimp, and flavorful avocado come together to create a stunning and flavorful dish.
Ingredients
1 cup sushi rice
1 1/4 cups water
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 pound cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce
1 avocado, diced
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
In a medium saucepan, combine sushi rice and water. Cook according to package instructions.
In a small bowl, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Stir into cooked rice and let cool.
In another bowl, mix cooked shrimp with mayonnaise and Sriracha sauce.
In a separate bowl, combine diced avocado with sesame oil, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes.
To assemble the stacks, press a layer of seasoned rice into a ring mold at the bottom of a plate.
Top with a layer of the shrimp mixture, then a layer of the avocado mixture.
Carefully remove the ring mold to reveal the sushi stack.
Garnish with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
Repeat to make additional stacks.
Serve chilled and enjoy!
