A delightful dessert that combines the flavors of traditional sopapillas and cheesecake in a simple pie form.

- 2 cans of crescent roll dough
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and lay it in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, pressing the seams together to form a crust.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough.
- Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and lay it over the cream cheese mixture, again pressing the seams together.
- Brush the melted butter over the top of the dough.
- In a small bowl, mix together the ground cinnamon and the remaining granulated sugar, then sprinkle it evenly over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Let cool, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding a drizzle of honey or chocolate sauce on top when serving.
- This dessert can be served warm or chilled.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
