Description
Delicious homemade sandwiches made with seasoned ground hamburger meat, topped with melted cheddar cheese and fresh vegetables, served in toasted rolls.
Ingredients
1 pound ground hamburger meat
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
4 sandwich rolls
4 slices cheddar cheese
Lettuce leaves
Tomato slices
Pickles (optional)
Ketchup (optional)
Mustard (optional)
Instructions
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
Add the ground hamburger meat to the skillet.
Season the meat with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
Cook the hamburger meat, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
While the meat is cooking, prepare your sandwich rolls by slicing them in half.
Once the meat is cooked, divide it into four equal portions and place each portion onto the bottom half of a sandwich roll.
Top each portion of meat with a slice of cheddar cheese.
Cover the sandwiches with the top halves of the rolls.
Optional: Toast the assembled sandwiches in the skillet for an additional 2-3 minutes on each side until the rolls are golden and the cheese is melted.
Serve the sandwiches warm with lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, ketchup, and mustard as desired.
