Roasted Stuffed Dates


Description

A delicious and sweet appetizer made with dates stuffed with creamy cheese and nuts, then roasted to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 20 Medjool dates, pitted
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, chopped walnuts, honey, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Carefully open each date and stuff it with the cream cheese mixture.
  4. If using, sprinkle crumbled feta cheese on top of the stuffed dates.
  5. Place the stuffed dates on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until golden and heated through.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For a vegan option, substitute cream cheese with a plant-based alternative.
  • Feel free to use different nuts or add dried fruits for extra flavor.
