1 package active dry yeast
1 cup warm milk
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 tablespoon red food coloring
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk and let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
Add sugar, melted butter, salt, eggs, flour, cocoa powder, and red food coloring to the yeast mixture. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for 6-8 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
Roll out the dough into a 16×20 inch rectangle. Spread softened butter over the dough and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
Roll up the dough tightly, cut into 12 rolls, and place in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
In a bowl, mix powdered sugar, cream cheese, and vanilla extract to make the icing. Drizzle over the warm cinnamon rolls.
