- 2 slices of bread
- 2 slices of mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 1/4 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
- Optional toppings: pepperoni, bell peppers, olives
Instructions
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- On the unbuttered side of one slice, layer mozzarella cheese, pizza sauce, and any optional toppings.
- Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the toppings.
- Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side facing out.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in the skillet.
- Cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes, then flip and cook the other side until golden and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from skillet, slice, and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, cook on low heat for a longer time.
