Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with buttermilk, and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the diced peaches gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- While the cake is baking, prepare the frosting by beating together the brown sugar, cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Once the cake has cooled, spread the brown sugar frosting over the top.
