Description

A delicious and indulgent lasagna layered with flavors of Parmesan garlic, crispy bacon, and cheeseburger-inspired ingredients.


Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions, then drain.
  3. In a skillet, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened.
  5. Add ground beef to the skillet, cook until browned, then drain excess fat.
  6. Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  7. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese with parsley, salt, and pepper.
  8. In a 9×13 inch baking dish, spread a layer of the meat sauce, followed by a layer of lasagna noodles.
  9. Spread a layer of the ricotta mixture, followed by a layer of mozzarella and bacon. Repeat the layers.
  10. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  11. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly.
  12. Let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, substitute ground beef with mushrooms or lentils.
  • Feel free to add spinach or other vegetables for added nutrition.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
