Description

Outback Steakhouse Alice Springs Chicken is a deliciously marinated grilled chicken breast topped with sautéed mushrooms, crispy bacon, and melted cheese, served with a honey mustard sauce.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup honey mustard dressing
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix the honey mustard dressing with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Marinate the chicken breasts in the honey mustard mixture for at least 30 minutes.
  4. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the mushrooms until tender.
  5. Grill the marinated chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
  6. During the last few minutes of grilling, top each chicken breast with sautéed mushrooms, chopped bacon, and shredded cheese.
  7. Close the grill lid to melt the cheese.
  8. Serve hot with extra honey mustard on the side.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add some cayenne pepper to the marinade.
  • Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh salad.
  • This recipe can be made in the oven at 375°F for 25-30 minutes if you don’t have a grill.
