- 1 1/2 cups of graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, melted
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream
- Whipped cream for topping
- Chocolate shavings for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, sugar, and melted butter. Mix well.
- Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a pie pan to form the crust.
- Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let it cool.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and granulated sugar until thick and pale.
- Add the chocolate chips and vanilla extract to the egg mixture and stir until smooth.
- Pour the chocolate filling into the cooled crust and bake for an additional 25 minutes.
- Let the pie cool completely before refrigerating for at least 2 hours.
- Before serving, whip the heavy cream and spread it over the top of the pie.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings and serve chilled.

- Ensure the pie is completely cooled before adding whipped cream to prevent it from melting.
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet.
- This pie can be made a day in advance for better flavor development.
