Ingredients

  • 1 lb ziti pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook ziti according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, brown ground beef with onions and garlic.
  4. Add marinara sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Stir in sour cream and cooked ziti.
  6. Layer half of the ziti mixture in a baking dish, top with half of mozzarella and Parmesan.
  7. Repeat the layering.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  9. Sprinkle with parsley, serve hot.

Notes

  • You can use ground turkey or sausage instead of beef for variation.
  • For extra flavor, add Italian seasoning to the meat sauce.
  • Let the ziti sit for 5-10 minutes before serving to set.
