Description

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
  • 4 cups of water
  • 4 tea bags (black or green tea)
  • 1/4 cup of honey (or to taste)
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Remove from heat and add the tea bags. Let steep for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove the tea bags and stir in honey until dissolved.
  4. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.
  5. In a blender, puree the diced mangoes until smooth.
  6. In a large pitcher, combine the chilled tea, mango puree, and lime juice. Stir well.
  7. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey depending on your taste.
  • For a stronger mango flavor, add more mango puree.
  • This recipe can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
