Description

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a shallow dish, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another dish, place the flour. In a third dish, beat the eggs.
  4. Coat each chicken breast in flour, dip in the beaten eggs, and then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Place the coated chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Remove from the oven, top each chicken breast with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in Italian dressing for a few hours before breading.
