- 500g chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
- 2 stalks lemongrass, finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine lemongrass, garlic, fish sauce, soy sauce, sugar, vegetable oil, and black pepper.
- Add the chicken thighs to the marinade and mix well. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and golden brown.
- Remove from heat and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with rice or vermicelli noodles.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add chopped chili peppers to the marinade.
- Marinate the chicken overnight for more flavor.
- This dish pairs well with pickled vegetables.
