These Fried Mac and Cheese Balls are a deliciously cheesy appetizer, perfect for parties and gatherings. Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, they are sure to be a hit with everyone.

- 2 cups cooked macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, cheddar cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, milk, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for about 1 hour to firm it up.
- Once chilled, scoop out portions of the mixture and roll them into balls.
- Dip each ball into the beaten eggs, then roll in breadcrumbs to coat.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the mac and cheese balls in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add some diced jalapeños or hot sauce to the mixture.
- These can be made ahead of time and frozen before frying. Just add a couple of extra minutes to the frying time if cooking from frozen.
- Serve with marinara sauce or ranch dressing for dipping.
