- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (for topping)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (for topping)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add cold water, a tablespoon at a time, until the mixture forms a ball. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
- Roll out the dough and fit it into a pie pan.
- In a large bowl, toss sliced apples with lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour into the pie crust.
- In another bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, flour, and butter for the topping until crumbly. Sprinkle over the apples.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until the apples are soft and the topping is golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
