Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- Remove from heat and stir in the granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan.
- For the mousse, beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth, then add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully combined.
- Spread the mousse over the cooled brownies and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings before serving.
