- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the brewed coffee and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Drizzle the caramel sauce over the cooled cake before serving.
