Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup protein powder
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup almond milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, protein powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine honey, applesauce, almond milk, and vanilla.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips.
  6. Spoon batter into muffin cups and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  7. Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to use your favorite protein powder flavor.
  • For extra fiber, add 1/4 cup ground flaxseed to the batter.
