Description

A delicious and cheesy twist on a classic burrito, combining melted cheese and savory fillings wrapped in a warm tortilla.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked and seasoned ground beef
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup salsa
  • Butter for grilling

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the ground beef, sour cream, and salsa.
  3. Place one tortilla on the skillet and sprinkle with cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
  4. Spread the beef mixture on top of the cheese.
  5. Top with additional cheese and place the second tortilla on top.
  6. Butter the top tortilla lightly.
  7. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown, then carefully flip.
  8. Butter the other side and cook for another 3-4 minutes until golden and the cheese is melted.
  9. Remove from skillet, let cool slightly, then cut in half and serve.

Notes

  • Feel free to add other fillings such as beans or vegetables.
  • For a spicy kick, add jalapeños or hot sauce.
  • Make sure the skillet is not too hot to prevent burning the tortillas.
