Description

Gordon Ramsay’s Chicken Tikka Masala is a flavorful and creamy Indian dish made with marinated chicken cooked in a rich tomato-based sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, diced
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp garam masala
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, cumin, coriander, turmeric, and chili powder. Add the diced chicken and marinate for at least 1 hour.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add garlic and ginger, cooking for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the marinated chicken and cook until browned on all sides.
  5. Stir in crushed tomatoes and bring to a simmer, cooking for about 10 minutes.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and simmer for an additional 5-10 minutes until the sauce is thickened.
  7. Season with salt and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier dish, increase the amount of chili powder.
  • Serve with basmati rice or naan for a complete meal.
  • This dish can be made in advance and reheated.
