- 1 package phyllo dough (16 oz)
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups walnuts, finely chopped
- 1 cup almonds, finely chopped
- 1 cup honey
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare a 9×13 inch baking dish by greasing it with melted butter.
- Lay one sheet of phyllo dough in the dish, brushing it with butter. Repeat until you have 5 layers.
- In a bowl, mix the chopped walnuts, almonds, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Spread half of the nut mixture over the phyllo layers.
- Layer 3 more sheets of phyllo dough, brushing each with butter.
- Add the remaining nut mixture and top with another 5 layers of phyllo, brushing each with butter.
- Cut the pie into diamond shapes before baking.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- In a saucepan, combine honey, milk, and water. Bring to a simmer and pour over the baked pie.
- Let it cool before serving.

- For a richer flavor, use a mix of nuts.
- This pie can be served warm or at room temperature.
