Description

This dish combines the savory flavors of shrimp, sausage, and bacon with tender fried cabbage for a delicious and hearty meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 medium head of cabbage, chopped
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 pound smoked sausage, sliced
  • 4 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add olive oil and sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.
  3. Add the smoked sausage and cook until browned.
  4. Add the chopped cabbage, paprika, and soy sauce; stir well to combine.
  5. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender.
  6. Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 5 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and add the cooked bacon back into the skillet.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or carrots.
  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes.
  • This dish can be served alone or over rice for a more filling meal.
