A delightful and warm Southern Peach Cobbler made with fresh peaches, a buttery crust, and a hint of cinnamon.

- 6 cups fresh peaches, sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine the sliced peaches with sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Let it sit for about 10 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add milk to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Melt the butter in a baking dish and pour the batter over it without stirring.
- Spoon the peach mixture over the batter. Do not stir.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve with vanilla ice cream for a delicious dessert.
- Can substitute frozen peaches if fresh are not available.
- For a richer flavor, add a splash of bourbon to the peach mixture.
