1 lb ground beef
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 onion, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 cup beef broth
1 cup shredded gruyere cheese
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce


Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, sauté until onions are caramelized, about 10 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, thyme, Worcestershire sauce, and cooked onion mixture. Mix well.
Transfer the meat mixture to a loaf pan and press it down evenly.
Pour beef broth over the meatloaf and cover the top with shredded gruyere cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the meatloaf is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
