Description
These fluffy cherry sweet rolls are filled with a delicious cherry filling and topped with a creamy glaze, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 cup milk, warmed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add melted butter, eggs, salt, and half of the flour. Mix until combined.
- Gradually add the remaining flour until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Punch down the risen dough and roll it out into a rectangle.
- Spread the cherry pie filling evenly over the dough.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut it into 12 equal pieces.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- While the rolls are baking, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla in a bowl to make the glaze.
- Once the rolls are out of the oven, drizzle the glaze over them while they are still warm.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use whole milk instead of skim milk.
- These rolls can be made ahead of time and frozen after baking.
- Feel free to substitute the cherry filling with other fruit fillings if desired.
