A delicious marinade for flank steak that enhances its natural flavor and tenderness, perfect for grilling or broiling.
Ingredients

- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, olive oil, red wine vinegar, garlic, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, black pepper, onion powder, and red pepper flakes.
- Place the flank steak in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish.
- Pour the marinade over the steak, making sure it is well coated.
- Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the marinade.
- Grill the steak for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until desired doneness is reached.
- Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain.
Notes
- Marinating overnight will yield the best flavor.
- You can substitute the soy sauce with a gluten-free alternative for a gluten-free version.
- Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes according to your spice preference.
