  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Description

Filet Mignon au Boursin et Champignons is a deliciously rich dish featuring tender filet mignon topped with a creamy Boursin cheese sauce and sautéed mushrooms, perfect for a special occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 filet mignon steaks (about 6 oz each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 oz Boursin cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the filet mignon steaks with salt and pepper.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
  4. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes for medium-rare.
  5. While the steaks are cooking, sauté the sliced mushrooms in the same skillet until golden brown.
  6. Add the Boursin cheese and heavy cream to the mushrooms, stirring until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth.
  7. Remove the steaks from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes.
  8. Serve the filet mignon topped with the creamy mushroom sauce and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For added flavor, marinate the steaks in your favorite marinade for a few hours before cooking.
  • Serve with a side of roasted vegetables or a simple salad for a complete meal.
