- 12 manicotti shells
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the manicotti shells according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper.
- Fill each manicotti shell with the cheese mixture using a spoon or piping bag.
- Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Arrange the filled manicotti shells in the baking dish and pour the remaining marinara sauce over the top.
- Sprinkle additional mozzarella cheese on top if desired.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
