Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Optional: lettuce and tomato for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
  3. Add the sliced onions and mushrooms to the skillet. Sauté until softened and caramelized, about 8-10 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until desired doneness.
  5. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each burger and cover to melt.
  6. Toast the hamburger buns in the skillet until golden brown.
  7. Assemble the burgers by placing the patty on the bun, topping with sautéed mushrooms and onions, and any additional garnishes like lettuce and tomato.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!
