- 1 cup hazelnuts, toasted and ground
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix hazelnuts, flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat eggs and sugar until fluffy.
- Add melted butter and vanilla extract to the egg mixture.
- Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- You can top the cake with chopped hazelnuts for extra crunch.
- For a richer flavor, use brown sugar instead of white.
- Serve with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
