Description

Crock Pot Hawaiian Meatballs are a delicious and easy-to-make dish featuring tender meatballs simmered in a sweet and tangy pineapple sauce, perfect for gatherings or a family dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks (with juice)
  • 1/2 cup sweet and sour sauce
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, green onions, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Place the meatballs in the crock pot.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together pineapple chunks (with juice), sweet and sour sauce, and soy sauce.
  5. Pour the sauce mixture over the meatballs in the crock pot.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the meatballs are cooked through.
  7. Serve warm over rice or on their own.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • Can be made in advance and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Leftovers can be frozen for up to 2 months.
