- 1 cup breadcrumbs (or gluten-free breadcrumbs)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil spray
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Remove the leaves from the cauliflower and cut it into 1-inch thick slices to create ‘steaks’.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
- Dip each cauliflower steak into the egg mixture, then coat it with the breadcrumb and cheese mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Place the coated steaks on the prepared baking sheet and spray lightly with olive oil.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
- Serve hot as a side dish or main course.
Notes
- For added flavor, try mixing in your favorite herbs or spices into the breadcrumb mixture.
- These steaks can be served with a dipping sauce or a fresh salad.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
