Description

Creamy seafood bisque with crab and shrimp


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb crab meat
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups seafood stock
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat
  2. Add onion and garlic, cook until softened
  3. Stir in flour and cook for 1 min
  4. Slowly pour in seafood stock, stirring constantly
  5. Add crab and shrimp, simmer for 15 mins
  6. Pour in cream, season with salt and pepper
  7. Simmer for another 10 mins
  8. Serve hot, garnished with parsley

Notes

  • You can add a splash of sherry for extra flavor
  • For a thicker bisque, blend a portion of the soup
