Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup cottage cheese
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter, cottage cheese, and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture alternately with milk.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
