Description
This Cinnamon Roll Sourdough Focaccia combines the tangy flavor of sourdough with the sweet, spiced notes of cinnamon rolls for a unique twist on a classic bread.

- 2 cups active sourdough starter
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup icing sugar (for glaze)
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the sourdough starter, warm water, and melted butter together.
- Add in the flour, sugar, and salt, stirring until a shaggy dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 4-6 hours, or until doubled in size.
- Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle.
- Spread melted butter over the dough and sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture evenly on top.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 12 equal pieces.
- Place the pieces in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another hour.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly, then drizzle with icing made from icing sugar and milk.

- Ensure your sourdough starter is active and bubbly for the best results.
- This focaccia can be served warm or at room temperature.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
