  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking sheet.
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the egg mixture, followed by melted butter.
  5. Spread the batter evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the cake springs back when touched.
  7. Once baked, let it cool slightly, then invert onto a clean kitchen towel dusted with powdered sugar.
  8. Spread peanut butter evenly over the cake.
  9. Roll the cake tightly using the towel to help shape it.
  10. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before slicing.
  11. Whip heavy cream and vanilla extract until soft peaks form and top the rolled cake.
  12. Garnish with chocolate shavings before serving.
