- 4 beef cube steaks
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper

- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
- 2 cups milk (for gravy)
- 1/4 cup flour (for gravy)
- Salt and pepper to taste (for gravy)
Instructions
- Preheat your oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- In a bowl, mix flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- In another bowl, whisk together eggs and milk.
- Dip each steak in the flour mixture, then the egg mixture, and back into the flour.
- Fry the steaks in hot oil until golden brown on both sides, about 5 minutes per side.
- Remove the steaks and set aside; keep warm.
- For the gravy, add 1/4 cup flour to the skillet with the remaining oil and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Slowly whisk in 2 cups of milk, cooking until thickened.
- Season gravy with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the fried steaks hot, topped with gravy.
Notes
- For a spicier gravy, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
- Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying to get a crispy crust.
- You can substitute chicken or pork if preferred.
