Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, shredded cheese, flour, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Mix until well combined and the mixture is easy to handle.
- Form small balls or patties from the mixture.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Fry the potato puffs until golden brown on all sides, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños to the mixture.
- These can be baked instead of fried; just place on a baking sheet and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes.
- Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying to ensure they are crispy.
