- 1 cup diced ham
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Flour (for dusting)
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
- Cut the pastry into a tree shape, leaving enough pastry for the trunk.
- Layer the diced ham and shredded cheese on one half of the tree shape.
- Fold the other half over the filling and press to seal.
- Cut slits in the sides of the tree to create branches.
- Brush the top with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- Ensure the puff pastry is completely thawed before using.
- You can use any cheese of your choice.
- For a vegetarian version, omit the ham and add more vegetables.
