Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, cream, butter, and salt over medium heat.
- Stir constantly until the mixture comes to a boil.
- Cook for about 5 minutes until it reaches the soft-ball stage (234°F or 112°C).
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract, chopped apples, and nuts.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and let it cool completely.
- Once cooled, cut into squares and serve.
Notes
- Make sure to use tart apples for the best flavor.
- Store the fudge in an airtight container to keep it fresh.
