A delicious Cajun dish featuring shrimp and salmon in a creamy garlic sauce, served with fluffy mashed potatoes.

- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound salmon fillet
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 4 tablespoons butter (for mashed potatoes)
- 1/2 cup milk (for mashed potatoes)
- Chives for garnish
Instructions
- Season the shrimp and salmon with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat.
- Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet and add the salmon, cooking for an additional 5-7 minutes until the salmon is cooked through.
- Meanwhile, boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and mash with butter and milk until smooth. Season with salt.
- Serve the shrimp and salmon over a bed of mashed potatoes, drizzled with the garlic cream sauce. Garnish with chives.
Notes
- For a spicier dish, increase the amount of Cajun seasoning.
- Feel free to substitute the salmon with another fish of your choice.
- Adjust the creaminess of the sauce by adding more or less heavy cream.
